Some pictures with the Nikon D3400

I decided to take out the camera and mess around a bit before vacation. I have the Nikon D3400 with a Nikon DX 70-300mm lens. It was interesting trying to get a close-up shot of the honey bees gathering pollen from the Mexican Heather. I took like 30 pictures and of those 30 these 2 were good…. Now I see why photographers take hundreds of pictures hoping for that one picture that captures what they want to share or express.

I bought this camera for my birthday last year as a kit. It came with the camera body, an 18-55 mm VR lens, and the 70-300mm zoom. It has been a great camera for taking on vacation and taking some great pictures. I would have to say it seems a little heavy even with the 18-55mm VR lens. I see now why some prefer the smaller cameras. It is the best camera I have ever owned so I do not have a lot to compare it to. I do know we manage to get some great shots now and then with it. I think these are some good pictures for taking close-ups with the zoom lens. I am not certain we could get better pics with a close-up lens but I am sure it would be a lot easier to do so.

These images are just a crop of the raw image with the addition of the watermark. Which I think are some good shots!
